Benefits of Flaxseed oil: Safflower

Although this blog is mostly centered around flaxseed, flaxseed oil, and the benefits of flaxseed oil, I am going to take a brief brake from these subjects and make a quick post about Safflower. Safflower seed is much like flax seed. Both can be used as nutritional supplements. Safflowers are very beautiful plants that produce yellow, orange, and red flowers. These flowers bloom in June. Safflower oil can also provide your body with many health benefits.  It is much like flax seed and can come in both an oil and seed form. Safflower is also used as a dye, and as bird seed. Squirrels don't eat safflower seeds which makes them very practical compared to bird seed. Triathlon Quotes

Flaxseed for Erectile Dysfunction

Did you know flaxseed oil can even help with erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (E.D.) can be caused by diabetes, drugs, hormonal imbalance, or even by psychological problems and instabilities.  E.D. means that you do not have the ability to keep an erection for a long enough time in order to have sexual intercourse.  There are many treatments for erectile dysfunction. Some of these treatments are drug and psychological therapy (psychotherapy), surgery and vacuum devices. Another way to help ED is by using naturopathic or natural treatments. One of these naturally treatments is consuming flaxseed or flaxseed oil.

Flaxseed meal is a great way to consume the flaxseed needed for this treatment. Flaxseed meal is basically ground flaxseed that can be produced by grinding whole flaxseed in a flax seed grinder. The fiber in flaxseed is the major ingredient in flaxseed that benefits erectile dysfunction.

You may ask
-how many calories are in flaxseed?

As you know there are many benefits of flaxseed oil, and flaxseed consists of many vitamins and good ingredients for your body. But you might not know what bad things flaxseed oil contains.

In one cup of flaxseed there are 828 calories, 65 grams of fat, and 45 grams of carbohydrates. Although the fat content is very high, only five grams are saturated fat. Five grams of unsaturated fat is not too bad for your body.  There are also 45 grams of polyunsaturated fat. Flaxseed Oil Pills

Flaxseed oil pills are an easy way to receive the benefits of flaxseed oil without trying to incorporate flaxseed into your diet. There are many flaxseed oil providers out there but I will give you my top three choices of flaxseed oil pills from the information I have been given.

1. Nuphedragen - $60

2. LipoFuze - $50

3. Clinicallix - $60

You can't go wrong with any of these products.  All three are aimed towards losing weight with flaxseed oil.  These pills are more expensive in amount of flaxseed purchased compared to buying it whole, but these flaxseed oil pills make it much easier to consume without changing your diet.

Flaxseed Meal

Flaxseed Meal is also known as ground flaxseed. I've already posted on ground flaxseed, but I'll repost some information here so you don't have to go searching through the blog.

Flaxseed meal is just flax seeds ground up. Ground flaxseed and whole flaxseed have the exact same benefits because they are the same type of food.  The only real difference is that ground is much more broken up. Because it is more broken up it is more easily digested by your body. Ground flaxseed has less of a chance of passing through your body without you receiving any of its nutrients than whole flaxseed. Ground Flaxseed can also be called crushed flaxseed. The two types of flaxseed that are ground are brown flaxseed and golden flaxseed.  Although golden flaxseed is usually advertised over brown flaxseed, they are basically the same, and they provide you with the same benefits. Flaxseed stays fresh longer in an air-tight container in the refrigerator, so I would recommend that also. I'll list again the benefits of flaxseed oil, and the benefits of flaxseed meal.

Flaxseed oil for depression

Does flaxseed oil help with depression? Yes, flaxseed oil can help with depression symptoms.

As posted in previous posts, flaxseed oil contains a very important omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Omega 3 fatty acid has been shown help treat bipolar disorder and even depression!

Although Omega-3 fatty acids can help with bipolar and depression symptoms, there has been no conclusion as to wether flaxseed oil itself can benefits you with either of these.  Some research has shown flaxseed helps with depression but not bipolar disorder, or vic versa, or both, or even neither.

I recommend that flaxseed you could take flaxseed to try to help with depression or possibly bipolar, but don't make it your only sole medication for these diseases. You should also definitely talk to your doctor before taking flaxseed as a means of fighting depression or bipolar disorder.

Furniture Liquidators

Sorry, this post has nothing to do with flaxseed oil, or the benefits of flaxseed oil . I just wanted to make a post on furniture liquidators. I don't think that there is enough good information on the internet on furniture liquidators.
So here is a new blog that I think has a lot of potential to provide good quality information on furniture liquidators ! Thanks for reading! Sorry this had nothing to do with flaxseed or the benefits of flaxseed, but I really wanted to make this post on furniture liquidators! Thanks!

Flaxseed Allergies

If you are allergic to seeds, are you also allergic to flaxseed? Is flaxseed actually a "seed"? My child is allergic to seeds, can he consume flaxseed?
From what I can see, flaxseed should be treated as a seed. If you are allergic to poppy seed, sesame seed, or other seeds, and your doctor tells you not to consume seeds, you should not consume flaxseed.  This means you will not be able to experience the benefits of flaxseed oil , but it could be dangerous if you consume it. Flaxseed seems to be able to induce the same allergic effects as these other seeds.  Other side effects of flaxseed are

Benefits of Malic Acid

This post is not going to be focused on flaxseed oil. This is about malic acid. Malic acid is also a natural supplement that is very good for your body. Malic acid is derived from fruits and vegetables. Malic acid’s benefits are somewhat similar to the benefits of flaxseed oil .  Some of these benefits consist of improving oral health, benefiting the immune system, helping skin, and reducing your chance of having problems with toxic metal in your body.  Malic acid also has the ability to increase your energy!

Flaxseed Oil and Pregnancy

Is it safe for pregnant women to consume flaxseed oil? Not a great amount of research has been done on this, but from what has been seen so far, taking normal daily dosages of flaxseed oil should not be bad for pregnant women.  Just because a woman is pregnant does not mean she has to miss out on all of the benefits of flaxseed oil. It should also be noted that there are some possible side effects of flaxseed oil that will still effect pregnant women, and could possibly have a greater effect on them.

Some of the benefits of these vitamins in flaxseed oil are listed below:

Flaxseed Oil Daily Dosage

I had a request to for the optimal daily dosages and safety limits of consuming flaxseed oil.  They also requested for some sources of flaxseed and flaxseed prices. So here is to you!

The optimal daily dosage of flaxseed is not exactly agreed upon. From my research I've found that most people are sticking to either a fourth of a cup, or 35 grams of ground flaxseed. And usually the recommended daily dosage of flaxseed oil is one tablespoon.  I haven't found anything relating to what the maximum amount of flaxseed that can be safely consumed is, but I would recommend just taking in the amounts given here.

You might want to buy flaxseed oil, so you too can receive the benefits of flaxseed, one of these major benefits is that it is useful in flaxseed for cholersterol. You will probably be able to find flaxseed at your local grocery store.  Make sure to buy whole flaxseed instead of ground or crushed flaxseed. You can grind it on your own and save a lot of money. To grind it you will need a flaxseed grinder.  Click that link to find products and relative prices.  I am not sure what the price is going to be at your local grocery store but here are some prices if your interested in buying flaxseed oil online:

Flax seed acne

One more amazing benefit of flaxseed oil is that it can even reduce your acne!  Omega-3 fatty acids have many benefits for your body such as; slowing the growth of cancerous tumors, reduces blood clots by improving blood flow, improving damaged tissue, and it slows the effects of alcohol.  These are all important but the benefit focused on in this post is the omega-3 fatty acid found in flax seed oil's ability to reduce acne.

Flaxseed Cooking

As mentioned in earlier posts you must be sure to grind your flaxseed before consuming it! Otherwise you will not benefit from any of its nutrients and the flaxseed will just go right through.  In this post there are some recipes and ideas on how to incorporate flaxseed into your diet. Flaxseed cooking can be very fun!

Flaxseed Grinders

As I have mentioned in earlier posts, flaxseed should be grinded or crushed into a power before consumption.  Otherwise the flaxseed will pass through your system without you receiving any of its nutrients. For this reason a good investment could be made in a flaxseed or coffee grinder.  Flaxseed grinders are somewhat difficult to find, but most coffee grinders should do the trick for flaxseed.  Another tip for buying flaxseed is to buy it in high quantity for cheaper prices.  You should grind a good portion of the flaxseed, which can be up to a few weeks worth. This will take much less time than grinding or crushing it every day.  It is important that you put the grinded flaxseed in an air-tight container in the refrigerator or freezer.  Listed below are some recommended flaxseed grinders:

Brown Flaxseed

It seems that brown flaxseed is losing its popularity to golden flaxseed.  The benefits of brown flaxseed and golden flaxseed are the exact same, if the samples are of the same quality.  The switch seems to be somewhat due to golden flaxseed having a better taste.  Golden flaxseed tastes more like peanut butter, which is thought to be what is making it more popular.  Golden flaxseed is also more available in an organic flaxseed oil form.  Golden flaxseed is also often used as a substitute of olive oil. It is important to have a flaxseed grinder, if you plan on buying whole flaxseed.

Ground Flaxseed

Is ground flaxseed better than whole flaxseed?

I would have to recommend ground flaxseed over whole flaxseed.

Flaxseed Constipation

There are many benefits of flaxseed oil. You are more likely to receive these benefits if you consume ground flaxseed instead of whole flaxseed. Some of these benefits include helping to lower your blood pressure, lowering your cholesterol, promoting healthy skin, and reducing your risk of cancer, but one major benefit of flaxseed is helping with constipation.
