Is Flaxseed Oil or Fish Oil more dangerous?

Flaxseed oil side effects are very dangerous, but fish oil can also be dangerous. There is often a question as to flaxseed oil vs. fish oil. These bad side effects and dangers are listed below. Also note that there are many benefits of flaxseed oil. One very important thing is flaxseed for constipation .  The rest of this post compares the side effects of Flaxseed oil and Fish oil and determines which is more dangerous.

Flaxseed Oil Side Effects- (same listed in earlier post)

-bruising and bleeding that can be very difficult to stop
-headaches
-diarrhea
-slowing down in the absorption of medicine
-allergic reactions

Fish Oil Side Effects

-Stomach upset
-indigestion
-heartburn
-contamination and mercury poisoning- although the first three side effects are bad, this is by far the most dangerous fish oil side effect. Mercury poisoning can cause itching or burning, swelling, discoloration of skin, and even the pealing of skin in layers.

Clearly both fish oil and flaxseed oil have negative side effects, but in my opinion the risk of mercury poisoning outweighs all of the side effects of flaxseed. We need to take into account also that these two products do have very positive effects on people that use them also.

Thanks for reading to see if Flaxseed Oil or Fish Oil is more dangerous.
